Worship
Worship style
Worship provides the vibrant heartbeat of the life of our Christian community. We have a modern catholic tradition, confidently, but not defensively so. We enjoy a mix of different Christian traditions within our congregation.
The Daily Office is said in the Lady Chapel and attended by a small number of the congregation. Mass is celebrated on a regular basis throughout the week – for details follow the Daily Services page. The whole Christian community comes together to celebrate on a Sunday morning at the Parish Mass.
We enjoy a variety of music ranging from traditional hymns to modern worship songs. Cantors lead psalms and the gospel acclamation. Otherwise our music is entirely congregational. When possible, our music is enriched by small instrumental group and this is something we would actively like to develop.
Children
Children of all ages are very welcome at all our worship and there is provision for school aged children at the Parish Mass every Sunday in “The Ark”, a children’s Liturgy of the Word. Facilities for babies and toddlers are also provided.
‘Simply Worship’
Once a month, there is a simplified Parish Mass called ’Simply Worship’. These services aim to be an introduction to the rich tradition of Christian worship we enjoy here at All Saints’, and are particularly suited to people just beginning to explore Christian discipleship or people re-engaging with discipleship after some time away from Church.
